Safety and Privacy Issues
If you are not going to be rooming with a friend or an acquaintance, isn’t the additional space worth it? Aside from increased safety, you will have more privacy, too. Potential Drama
Just as you can have a nightmare of a roommate, you can have an exceptional one as well. Someone who will do their chores without prompting and pays their half of the bills on time. This is a dream come true, but it may be the little things that can get to you.
People have discernible personalities, tics, and habits, and not all of them are pleasant. Chattiness, nosiness, and lack of boundaries may be what you have in store if you choose to room with someone. They are inconsequential in the grand scheme but can cause discomfort.
You have the right to be comfortable in your new home. And this can be snatched away by having to room with a person you are just not compatible with.
